Libertarian Party News

Friends of Third Party Watch have under discussion launching a weekly eZine “Libertarian Party News”.  One motive is the dearth of main stream media references to the Libertarian Party.  The LP is the largest orthodox third party, but it appears to have dropped completely off the main-stream radar screen.

The possibility of covering other parties this way was noted, but appropriate news from most third parties is limited.

With six or eight candidates on various primary ballots around the country, you would think that at least one had sent a news release. It should be an elementary procedure for a candidate for any office.
Have ANY of the candidates sent a news release?

What would such ezine accomplish which ur current sites don’t? You have, or maybe no longer have, RSS feeds, social media reflectors, automated email article delivery options etc. If you got rid of them you could add them back, I would think?

They could have different subscription options (or at least some of them) for people most interested in some kinds of articles and not others, for instance by party , person name , tag, keyword, article type, author etc. As well as delivery frequency options and other such customizations.

As for which parties generate sufficient news, it’s time dependent.

I’m not sure what you mean by appropriate news. No Labels gets plenty of news mentions. Greens will probably see a big uptick as Stein and local campaigns gear up . My prediction is significantly more than libertarians this cycle.
