Libertarian Knapp issues debate challenges in Missouri’s 2nd District

Libertarian Party congressional candidate Tom Knapp says voters deserve to hear about the issues in Missouri’s 2nd US House District, so he’s laid down a challenge to his Republican and Democrat opponents to meet six times to debate and discuss the important topics of the campaign.

Knapp describes himself on his website:

“I’m the left-most candidate in a right-leaning district. I’m the only candidate calling for unconditional withdrawal of US forces from Iraq. I’m the only candidate taking a firm stand in favor of marriage equality. I’m the only candidate proposing bottom-up tax cuts that get government off the shoulders of the working poor. And I’m the only candidate who’s put my money where my mouth is on the environment by committing to a carbon-neutral campaign.”

Good luck Tom, and your writing/ blogging of late is concise and as sharp as a tack. Really impressive!

Worse than the LRC, Knapp is a center fascist. Let’s remember to call for minimal coercive government is to call for coercive government.

Unsuprisingly, the rumor is that in several states his BTP people have made off with local LP assets to launch their new party. Investigate that.

I don’t recall that I’ve ever called for minimal government.

Care to elaborate on that rumor? This is the first time I’ve heard it.
