America’s birthday and alleviating political boredom

If you’re bored with the back-and-forth between McCain and Obama, you’re not the only one. Former Independent presidential candidate John Kusumi says the only way this year’s presidential election will become interesting is to make sure third party candidates are included in the campaign:

The only way that the presidential race becomes interesting in my eyes is if Cynthia McKinney, Ralph Nader, and Bob Barr are brought into the picture. Then I would sit up, pay attention, and stop yawning.

As for selecting a U.S. President, I will look more deeply into the platforms of Barr, Nader, and McKinney before I make up my mind as to whom I will vote for in November. I believe in voting on the merits, not simply voting to be on the winning side.
