People don’t like to hear this, but I think he’s spot on.
It’s a shame we don’t see even a vestige of this wisdom in the nationally viable candidates.

  2. John Lowell Says:

Whether its Baldwin using his weegie board to discern God’s will or his exhortations to live a “godly” life, here’s one “believer” that’s convinced Baldwin would have viewers rolling their eyes back into their heads if he ever makes it to a televised debate with major party candidates. I mean this guy doesn’t even answer friendly e-mail.

  3. johncjackson Says:

I thought this guy was supposed to be an improvement over Keyes. I don’t know guys, but if you are gonna run a nut might as well go with the well-known nut.

  4. disinter Says:

Is there anything but nuts in the CP? Look at Trent Hill for example…

  5. Texas Conservative Says:

Secularists go home and take your lame ass weapon of shame with you. Everyone will call men who take unpopular positions nuts until they actually start doing something—then of course all the scared people begin to get brave. I rather be a nut then a bitch any day.

  6. disinter Says:

Too bad more religious nuts don’t try this:

  7. John Lowell Says:

“Secularists go home and take your lame ass weapon of shame with you.”

No secularist here, Texas Conservative, just a Catholic watching in amazement as Baldwin, in pursing his candidacy, makes an ostentatious display of his religiousity, one grounded in the rather questionable premise that one can hope to discerns God’s will by imposing conditions upon Him. It is precisely this kind of pharasaical nonsense that has always worried me about the CP.

  8. Dave Williams Says:

John, if you’re not a southern baptist…you’re secular.

“I rather be a nut then a bitch any day.”

Sigh…I can only hope to be caught in the middle of some religious war one day started by turds like you…it will be rather liberating.

  10. disinter Says:

I think the CP should sell these to raise funds:

  11. Catholic Trotskyist Says:

John Lowell, are you an Obama supporter? If not you are a heretic and will soon be anathema to the Catholic church. Although Keyes and Baldwin have wrong positions on state-sponsored theocracy, and Keyes has wrong positions on theocracy, I agree with Texas Conservative that nuts are actually very brave, and to top it off, they (the right-wing CP) are actually helping Obama by stealing Republican votes. I know that many people consider me a nut; however, us nuts are the people that keep this nation alive. Soon we will all come together into the Fringe Alliance Strategy. Even the fascist/stalinist criminal Ralph nader will be allowed to join if he drops out and stops hurting the Obama Revolution.

= Indeed, when we see people like you pull the trigger on the effort to eradicate religious liberty.

    …it will be rather liberating.

= Liberating the notions that anybody that believes in a higher power ought to be imprisoned or shot.

    Quark,
I welcome all comers. As I said on another thread…if the SHTF and I were caught between anarchists and theocratic fascists I would attack in both directions. It would be indiscriminate. I would single out the aggressors no matter what they believed, looked like or what they worshiped. You can continue to fabricate whatever myth you want about me, that’s fine. But know this, evil is evil, even if it wears a cross around it’s neck. Can anyone say ‘Nazi’.

I do not need to be religious to understand right from wrong, good from bad. That’s just part of nature and intellectual evolution. And if you were one of those who decided to fuck up my world, invade my home, murder one of my family members, rape my dog, whatever it is you might decide to do…I would know exactly what to do right back to you and I would not hesitate.

I do not advocate the eradication of religious liberty, or any ‘sane’ liberty. And I’m certainly not advocating that any peaceful peoples be imprisoned or shot. In fact, if you were to look at that statement from a different perspective it was meant to be A FUCKING JOKE. So get your panties out of a wad and calm down.

  15. Dave Williams Says:

One more thing Quark, I’ve voted for many years and the candidates religion was never and never will be an issue. I vote on the candidates character & demeanor, their core platform and the major issues at hand. A good person is a good person, a bad person is a bad person. I don’t need god or a priest to help me differentiate one from the other. I use my own intuition.

GWB=Methodist, WMR=LDS, WAR=Jew; I could give a shit…go to war only as a last resort, balance the federal budget, cut federal spending/lower my taxes, leave our guns alone, shrink the government to it’s proper size and stay the fuck outta my bedroom. If you can’t agree with that philosophy, then you are part of the problem.

  16. Cody Quirk Says:

Then you and disinter need to shut the f**k up on the CP, you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. Even here, Davey, if you want to bash my Party, you better believe I will respond.
A joke? It’s not really funny, in fact it must be one of the stupidest things I have heard, it sucked.

If you represent the Libertarian Party, then its no wonder you can’t get past electing people to local office and a state leg. seat or two, after all these years and with a strong organization and finances.

Morons like you think CP’ers are bible-thumping rednecks when that is far from true. I’m no redneck, in fact I combated the few religious bigots in the Party before they left two years ago.

Do your homework next time before you open your mouth about something Davey. Go ahead and put a hotdog on a stick in front of your lawn, I don’t give a damn either.

  17. Dave Williams Says:

    So you’re stink fist…

  18. Dave Williams Says:

“A joke? It’s not really funny, in fact it must be one of the stupidest things I have heard, it sucked.”

Sucks about as much as you suck on Knapp scumbag.

“If you represent the Libertarian Party, then its no wonder you can’t get past electing people to local office and a state leg. seat or two, after all these years and with a strong organization and finances.”

I don’t represent the LP, I’m just a regular guy…you can scroll up to where Wes Benedict, Tom Knapp & Tom Sipos all long time LP ‘members & leaders’ are DEFENDING by not CONDEMNING one of the LP’s POTUS candidates (Mary Ruwart) position on sex between an adult and a child…maybe that would be the answer as to why the LP has been in the shitter and will continue to be in the shitter until assholes like that are rendered useless, ignored or ejected…

  20. Dave Williams Says:

“Go ahead and put a hotdog on a stick in front of your lawn, I don’t give a damn either.”

Were you smoking pole when you thought that one up? hahaha

Well, all I can say to that is this…if you’ve even toyed with the idea of nominating Judge Roy Moron, you are an honorary redneck. lol

Nahhhh…you were ATMing that goat! Praise the LAWD!

  23. Old Whig Says:

Ok, Cody, Dave y’all have lost me there somewhere.

    and

No, I don’t think I want to know what you’re talking about.

    O.W.

  24. Catholic Trotskyist Says:

I like posting on this site because so many people here are almost as on the fringes of society as I am.

As a Catholic Trotskyist, I think that Dave and Cody both have some good ideas and some bad ideas. The three of us should form a grand council to take over the world, and I could shift in between their positions, shifting between Dave’s libertarianism and Cody’s understanding of the importance of religious principles to the world.
Please pray for the pope and please pray for Barack Obama.

  25. Cody Quirk Says:

= So you admit that your ‘Joke’ sucks? At least I’m not sucking on a tail pipe, which gives you your IQ.

Were you smoking pole when you thought that one up? hahaha

= Sounds like you’re the one doing the smoking. I’m LDS, remember?

Well, all I can say to that is this…if you’ve even toyed with the idea of nominating Judge Roy Moron, you are an honorary redneck. lol

= Only the Bible-belt CP’ers wanted to do that. I didn’t want to nominate Roy Moore, I wanted Jerome Corsi or Bob Smith, that was who I was going for. I also wrote in Ron Paul’s name in the California Primary when I still lived there.

Nahhhh…you were ATMing that goat! Praise the LAWD!

= Yep, that exaust has really gotten to your head.

  26. Dave Williams Says:

Well it’s good to see you getting in the last punches on a dead thread…yawn, learned that one from ‘Krapp’ did ya?

  27. Connie Says:

Hey Guys…...whats all the fuss about…my goodness. Didn’t your momma’s teach you how to communicate without all the nastiness. Let’s be a little mature here.
I for one do not like what we have been given to choose from the Democrats or Republicans….I am going to give Chuck Baldwin a shot and I will listen to what he has to say….If I like what I hear I will be campaigning for him as much as possible.

As far as I am concerned both the Democrats and Republicans have dooped America into thinking there is a difference in their platforms but in reality they are on the same team. All the candidates that are left, Obama, Hilary, and John are members of the Council of Foreign Relations…..the goal is the same….elite control of the government via a one world government. As for me I kinda like the freedom I have been use to all these 50 plus years. I am not about to sell my kids down the river ….

.Most of the American people realize the Nafta Trade Agreement sold the American people an empty bag of goods….Clinton and the Bushes promised it would create jobs…oh it did, but not for Americans….American’s have been betrayed..and that is only the beginning I will not vote on the Republican ticket. I voted twice for President Bush…..I believed all his lines…..I believed when we went into Iraq it was for real….but I want our husbands, daughters and sons home…

.....70% of the American people are disatisfied with President Bush…I belong to that Group. I also do not trust Hilary, she has been caught in one lie after another and she has the nerve to denie it as if it never happened….John McCain is just way off base, don’t trust him at all…....And for Obama….he gives me such concern what he would do….I would vote for a African American any day but there are just to many unknowns about him, He is pretty to look at but I just require much more than that in a President…...and I like many ladies loved to watch Oprah but she just isn’t enough pull for me to vote for him. So we will see what happens…..I just hope the media lets them all have their say and Chuck Baldwin will have his chance to speak to the issues…In the meantime I hope we don’t wast our time in some of the nonsense that is going on in this site. Whoever is the more mature one, ignore the childish one so the rest of us can actually speak to the issues instead of having to listen to the name calling. Kind Regards to all…...
