LibertarianLists is back

WARNING: The following is a self-promotional blog entry infomercial.

Due to recent changes in business arrangements, Libertarian Lists has been off the air (or at least off the WiFi) for a few months. For those not familiar with the e-mail service, “Libertarian Lists is a voluntary [FREE] e-mail list [now] managed by Small Government Solutions. It provides news, information and updates about various libertarian candidates, organizations, events and activities. It is supported through sponsorship, advertising and direct solicitations.”

Additionally, Libertarian Lists will be conducting another of their surveys over the next few days. This particular survey is designed to “better understand the intentions and motivations of the broad pool of libertarian voters, Ron Paul supporters and Libertarian Party members with respect to the 2008 presidential elections as well as certain issues pertaining to political issues and parties.”

In addition to the obvious major and minor party presidential preference polling questions, this particular survey hopes to capture some information about delegate preferences for the upcoming Republican and Libertarian National Conventions. It will also be asking opinion questions about issues ranging from tax and spending issues to the Iraq War to 9/11 conspiracy theories.

As normal, the base line survey results will be published online. Crosstabbed data and additional questions are available for a price. Simply contact this dude for pricing information. Unfortunately, due to several recent technical and business changes, the list size is down to approximately 14,000 mostly self-identified libertarians—which means one can expect between 500 and 2,500 survey respondents. The list was recently validated and most of the e-mail addresses have been recently verified, but AOL customers may not receive their e-mail due to recent glitches or policy changes with that particular service provider.

Hopefully this blog entry will increase this number a little bit. If you’d like to see the sample size become even larger, simply sign up (or encourage others to sign up) here.

Keep in mind that one of the goals of Libertarian Lists is to provide subscribers, free of charge, information which is interesting that is not readily available though common news services or blogs. The attempt is to keep the number of e-mails low, although the intensity increases the closer it gets to Election Day.

Again, if you wish to sign up for Libertarian Lists, the new link is here. If you have other related business requests, contact information is available here.

Is Seth still working with you?

  2. Stephen Gordon Says:

Seth had to go back to working in the real world. My new company (the same one which owns this site) has taken control of those functions again.

I could use a good webmaster, if you know of anyone who might be interested in the part time work.

Okay, I signed up. I’m a bit confused about why I should opt in, but heck, I’ll try anything once. ;-)
