Happy Birthday to Rational Review News Digest

From today’s electronic masthead: Volume V, Issue #1,307 Sunday, December 23rd, 2007

Edited by Thomas Knapp, Rational Review is a daily news digest which covers both news and commentary of interest to members of the libertarian community. As someone who used to work at the Pentagon, I’ve considered it an Early Bird for freedom lovers. It is available (most days) both by browser and by e-mail.

RRND typically doesn’t run on Sunday, but today is a special occasion - their fifth anniversary. They didn’t run much content today—but then again, they are the antithesis of a typical print Sunday paper. It’s a good source of news even for progressives and paleo-conservatives. I’ll recommend signing up for the e-mail version of their news digest.

Isn’t Knapp the same moron that defended Allen Hacker’s scandalous practices while attempting to “manage” Badnarik’s campaign?

The idea of him using the word “rational” on his blog is quite ironic.

  2. Thomas L. Knapp Says:

    Er … no.

    What I did do was:

    - Wait for indicators (which, by September of 2006, reached the threshold of undeniability) and results (the only things that count) before assuming that the Badnarik campaign’s money was not-well spent; and
    - Give Hacker the benefit of the doubt in assuming that he was merely incompetent rather than overtly evil.
