  1. Trent Hill Says:

Hugh Cort, Ray McKinney, and John Cox?

They’d better not draw off any support from Ron Paul.

  2. Anthony Distler Says:

I’ve heard of Hugh Cort and John Cox before. Cox spend millions of dollars fundraising in Iowa, and got .17% of the vote in the Ames Straw Poll. So, they’re non-factors.

  3. Trent Hill Says:

No, Cox did not spend millions of dollars. He didnt have millions. He has raised 978k before Iowa. Most of it his own.

  4. Anthony Distler Says:

Oh? I heard he was like, a millionaire lawyer and he’s been spending most of it. Maybe not.

  5. Daniel Says:

John Cox has not been successful. John Cox has had a more positive feeback the Hugh Cort and Ray McKinney when it comes to Campaign Staff, however Ray McKinney has been more successful when it comes to getting Interviewed and support from Party Leaders. Hugh Cort has really not been trying to campaign, his main goal is to get out the information of a nuclear attack by osama on american soil.

  6. Joe Says:

Cox and Cort differ with Ron Paul on war and foreign policy. Cort has made the war on terro the focus of his campaign. I spoke with John Cox on Mark Dankof’s radio show and he came across as a standard neo-con.

  7. Ben Miller Says:

McKinney started out by runnig for the Republican VP spot but switched to running for President in order to get support at the convention. McKinney will also be in a online Republican debate this Saturday at 8:00 PM (ET) at

  8. Trent Hill Says:

In order to get support at the Convention? He should have stuck with the VP idea.

  9. Daniel Says:

McKinney also got support from Florida GOP Leaders as well as Delegates I believe.

  10. Trent Hill Says:

Tell me more. How has he gotten support from Florida GOP leaders and delegates?

  11. Devious David Says:

McKinney lives here in Savannah. I’ve heard him on the local talk radio station. I don’t see the point in his running. Other than, perhaps getting some cabinet job, which is what I think his real goal is.

  12. Trent Hill Says:

He will NOT get a cabinet job. Not unless the convetion has split delegates and his meager amount of delegates can cast a tiebreaking vote.

  13. Robert Standard Says:

Looks like Ron Paul didn’t do too well in his home state.

    3rd place finish.

I’m starting to think Ron Paul is just a bunch of internet hype. He does well on the web, but falls down flat when it really counts.

  14. Trent Hill Says:

3rd place in the delegate-only straw poll in Bush-territory-Texas is a REALLY good showing for an anti-establishment, anti-war, libertarian like Ron Paul.
Havent you looked at all the other straw polls?

  15. Ben Miller Says:

McKinney came received 2% of the straw poll vote.

  16. Ben Miller Says:

That should read McKinney came in 7th with 2%.
