Memorial Day from General Jones

Since I was visiting relatives at the time, I couldn’t report on this statement, which now comes a little late after Memorial Day. Nevertheless Gen. Charles Jones of the National Veteran’s Coalition of the Constitution Party has this message to share…

To All,

Memorial Day is a patriotic holiday set aside in the United States to honor all who gave their lives in defense of and for their country. Flags and flowers decorate the graves of family members and friends who gave the ultimate sacrifice in recognition of their service. Military parades and special services are also fitting occasions that help pay our respects for those sacrifices made in battle, combat training and untold other commitments to country. From Civil War times through today at this very hour in Iraq, Afghanistan and other far off corners of the world we have military men and women in harms way to insure that America will be preserved and our people will continue to remain free. Every person in this great country needs to pause and reflect that this is possible only because those we recognize today gave selflessly to make it all possible.

Blah, blah, blah, talk, talk, talk!
Look at the six ‘talking points’ of the NVC!
Not ONE WORD on veterans’ issues!

And don’t get us started on the fascist
    Democans and Republicrats!

  4. Jason Says:

Hey talking heads, would ya’ll jump in a lake already. Tie a rock around your neck and take the plunge. Quit bitching. At least they are active and serve some sort of purpose. All you do is talk about what you are against and blast everything else. Secondly, they were not created to provide pensions and soup for veterans. They are political—a home for like-minded military comrades.

What are you doing for Veterans?

  5. Prester John Says:

The NVC has been a bit slow with getting the program. I joined many, many months ago and just last week received a welcome email (with an upfront apology about being late in getting it out).

Also, the NVC site needs some serious work. But it’s a start.

Slow starts are different than False Starts!

We wish them well, and lots and lots of ethics!
