Efforts from Ron Paul supporters, and more than likely, the MSNBC Debate showing, propelled the Lake Jackson, Texas congressman to the South Carolina GOP debate, set for May 15 at FOX News.

    Also,25,000 dollars for entry fee.

  2. Derrick Says:

Dude is blowing up all over the Interweb in a way that I never expected. It seems to me that our ‘net-based libertarian culture has finally grown large enough to command some attention from the mainstream media. That’s absolutely historic.

  3. globalist_elitist Says:

    Good.

I don’t mind a $25,000 entry fee to a thing like a private debate, though, when the race is for something as large as president. You have to have some way of keeping out the Mike Gravels of the world.

  4. Trent Hill Says:

Mike Gravel is legit in my mind…

He obviously isn’t THAT crazy, the Democratic party supported him for many years as a Senator…

  5. globalist_elitist Says:

The dude had $498 in his campaign coffers last I checked.

    That is not legit.

  6. Anthony Distler Says:

Yeah, Gravel is really low on campaign cash, though his money really rose after the debates. A lot of people are sending in money to him. While it’s not a million dollars, it’s enough to keep him in the race.

  7. Erik Ellison Says:

Just want to point out that Dr. Paul was actually invited to SC a week or two before the last debate.

  8. matt Says:

Also, I think the 25G entrance fee is for the primary itself, not for the debate.

  9. globalist_elitist Says:

Hmm… Not as cool with a $25k fee to enter the primary. That seems a little excessive. A few grand is enough to keep the jokers and pranksters away.

  10. Bill Wood Says:

GE, maybe if Gravel would invest that $498.00 in WNED stock he could take over that Company. grinning

  11. Sue M. Says:

I’ve noticed nary a mention by the FOX news talking heads of Ron Paul…it’s all Guiliani, McCain, and Romney….all three clowns who are just puppets to further the ends of the new world order bunch! I hate the media! Ron Paul is our only hope unless there’s a major upset somewhere!!

  12. Jennifer Says:

Damn this game is rigged. Go Ron Paul.

  13. Kristian Says:

Ron Paul needs to be our next president.

  14. Dylan Skriloff Says:

Man, why’s it got to be Ron Paul who is blowing up and not Dennis Kucinich or Mike Gravel. Paul is great because he speaks truths (that especially makes the republican fascists squirm) but right wing libertarianism is a nutty political philosophy!
