Tuesday’s Candidate: Dexter Kamilewicz


Dexter Kamilewicz, independent candidate for U.S. House of Representatives in Maine’s First District.

Kamilewicz is a former teacher and educational administrator with the Oxford Hills School District. His professional career has lead him to open his own real estate firm, the Acadia Bay Company. He’s also a peace activist with a son serving in Iraq right now.

Kamilewicz’s record of community involvement is pretty impressive…

Dexter has served as Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Maine Audubon Society, Board of Directors of Congregational Retirement Homes (Melrose, MA), Board of Directors Interfaith Housing Corporation (Cambridge, MA), Board of Directors of the MIT Nursery School and numerous community and church-related positions. Currently, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries of Northern New England (Chair of the Retail Services Committee), Member of the Parking Committee of Portland Downtown District, and member of the Long Range Planning Committee of First Parish Church of Brunswick, Maine. He also serves on a facilities management curriculum advisory committee of Southern Maine Community College.
