Texas Primary Produces No Real Surprises

Texas held a primary election on Tuesday… not that many people actually voted or anything.

A few small points of interest:

1.) Republican Congressman and former LP Presidential candidate Ron Paul wiped this floor with token opposition and won his party’s re-nomination.

2.) The Democratic field has shrunken to two candidates in the District 10 Congressional race. Former EPA official Ted Ankrum will face author and former Austin Arts Commissioner Paul Foreman in a run-off. This is the district that Michael Badnarik is running in.

3.) Tom DeLay swept aside his primary competition and moves on to face a Democratic former Congressman (Nick Lampson) and Steve Stockman, another former Congressman running as an independent.
