Today’s Candidate: Ellis Boal


Today’s candidate of the day is Ellis Boal for Charlevoix County Commissioner in Michigan.

Boal is the Green Party’s candidate for this office and in 2004 he received 19% of the vote in a 2-way race for Prosecutor. He’s also written out the details of his 2004 campaign on his website and they might be a valuable educational tool for anyone considering running for office as a third party candidate.

The election for County Commissioner is to be held on Tuesday, February 28th.

    Thanks for giving Ellis a bit of love, as the kids say :) He’s really doing the Greens of Michigan proud. He’s also done pretty well at fundraising, both relative to his opponents and relative to most of our candidates in the recent past. I think he’s got a reasonably good chance of winning, and I certainly hope he beats his previous share of the vote.
