We Want Your Video!!

Ok, here’s the deal… I’m considering doing a video clips section on the website.

I really have decided exactly what it will be, how it will work, or if I’ll even bother getting into it at all… but I have a few ideas floating around in my head.

What I would like from you guys is some submissions of any relevant material you might have.

This includes…

1. Any video you might have from third party campaigns or party meetings.
2. Any campaign commercials from third party or independent candidates.
3. Footage that YOU SHOT of a debate that included a third party candidate.
4. Something you make just for us. Pull out your webcam and do your worst!
5. Anything else you think might be interesting or relevant.

Examples: If you have a video of a local meeting of your county Green Party, send it in. If you have a video of a nationally televised third party debate from C-SPAN, we probably can’t use it.

Other Suggested Ideas: Create your own stuff. If you have a web-cam, a video camera, even many regular digital cameras and cell phones have video capabilities on them. It could be you telling a story about some volunteer work you’ve done, or showing off some third party memoribilia to the camera, or just whatever. Send it in and we’ll see what we can do with it.

Formats: MPEG, WMV, and AVI are strongly preferred.

A FEW RULES (Please, please read these…)

Rule #1: Anything you submit, you also must hold the copyright on. The only exception I’ll allow for this is television advertisements that aired publicly for third party candidates.

Rule #2: Keep the file sizes somewhat reasonable. Nothing more than 100MB at the absolute most.

Rule #3: Include your full name with the video so that we may properly give you credit.

Send your video clip submissions to [email protected] - By submitting something you are agreeing that any video of an event was recorded by yourself and that you own the copyright to it. (Copyright doesn’t apply to campaign commercials.) You are granting us the right to make minor edits to the video, adjust the size and format, and display it in some form on the Third Party Watch website. We will not sell the video, we will not charge anyone to watch it, and we will not distribute it anywhere other than on this website.
