A Sign That The Government Is Too Large?

Just purchase a copy of the “Code of Federal Regulations” from the US Government’s official subscriptions catalog.

It’s available for a mere $1,342.00, because after all it is 199 paperback books long…

Codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the Executive departments and agencies of the Federal government. Divided into 50 titles representing broad areas subject to Federal regulation. Sold in both paperback (approximately 199 books) and microfiche (1,200 fiche).

You don’t want it in print, its updated too frequently, useless after five years.

Plus, as all Government Information should be, its free online!

Sorry, no one cares I am sure. I’m a librarian, its impulse.

But, on that note, you may be more interested in the Federal Register anyway:

which is “the official daily publication for rules, proposed rules, and notices of Federal agencies and organizations, as well as executive orders and other presidential documents.”
