Results: Green Party Presidential Campaigns

I wanted to take a look at the successes and failures of various third party presidential campaigns over the past 30 years. So, I’ve complied the results for the Green Party below. Raw data was pieced together through Ballot Access News, The U.S. Election Atlas, and other sites.

The figures include total number of votes nationally, percent of the national vote, the number of states where the candidate finished above 1%, and the average percentage of the vote in the candidate’s five best states and counties.

If the candidate’s name appears in green, it represents an improvement over the previous campaign in total number of votes. If red, it represents a decline.
